Terms of service
These terms apply to the synopedia.com website, the Synopedia browser extensions (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) and the Synopedia add-on for Google Docs, all published by BIGBANG MEDIA (see the legal notice). By using them, you accept these terms.
A free service
Synopedia is free and needs no account. You may use it for personal, educational or professional purposes: looking up synonyms and antonyms, and replacing words in your own texts.
Content and licenses
The synonym lists are built from open sources, listed on the Sources and licenses page, and remain subject to their licenses (in particular CC BY-SA 4.0). The texts you write belong to you; Synopedia does not keep them.
Fair use
You may not use Synopedia to collect its pages or data in bulk by automated means, overload the website or its API, or work around its technical limits.
No warranty
Synopedia is provided as is. We do our best to suggest accurate synonyms, but mistakes can happen and the service may change or stop. Check important words before using them. To the extent permitted by law, BIGBANG MEDIA is not liable for any damage arising from the use of the service.
Personal data
How data is handled is described in the privacy policy.
Changes and governing law
These terms may change; the online version prevails. They are governed by French law. For any question, please use the contact form.
